Description

6cm x 6cm Fun fact: The Koala is a tree dwelling, plant eating marsupial (with a pouch for raising their young) native to Australia. Its closest living relatives are the wombats. The Koala’s paws are specially adapted for gripping and climbing. Very correctly, on the CollectA model there is no claw on the biggest digit on the hind paw, which is opposable to the others for gripping. Also, nicely carved out with this CollectA figurine and one of the easiest ways to identify the sex of a Koala is to look for the dark brown scent gland which is located in the centre of the white chests of mature, breeding males. Females and young pre-breeding males have a plain white chest.  Why do we love CollectA We love CollectA as these miniatures can be used in creative, open-ended and small world play. They are a brilliant tool and resource for early learning educators as well for homeschooling, preschools and playrooms. We love that they help to bring awareness to endangered species and highlight the need to our little ones, about the importance of protecting our environment for our animal kingdom. We also LOVE that they have the BIGGEST collection of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals of any toy manufacturer!
